According to their official website and FDA website, ‘Gerber’ recalls two organic baby food products.
The New Jersey-based Gerber Products Co. says it’s voluntarily recalling two organic baby foods.
Gerber is recalling some of its organic baby food products in pouches after identifying a packaging defect that could result in product spoilage during transport and handling, according by U.S. Food and Drug Administration website and Gerber website.
Company says the voluntary recall involves two batches of Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches – Carrots, Apples and Mangoes and two batches of Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pouches – Pears, Carrots and Peas. Affected pouches may be bloated and the food may have an off taste or odor.
Gerber announced it is retrieving the remaining pouches (from affected batches) from retailers and online stores. Consumer with these pouches should not use them and are encouraged to call the Gerber Parents Resource Center for replacement.
