Toothache. Terrible word and even more terrible problem. Nightmare that has that nasty “habit” to occur during the night, on weekends or when you’re miles away from the dentist.
Toothache can be mild to very strong. Those who are afraid of the dentist, delay going to him, and suffer pain or they poison himself with painkillers. Both cases are not recommended, because postponement of the visit to the dentist can worse tooth condition. We highly suggest visiting your dentist, but to calm the pain till then, we bring you some natural remedies and some simply natural painkillers which can be found in your home.
Lean ice on the area affected with pain. The pain will in most cases immediately decrease because the ice is great for reducing pain in the nerve endings.
The traditional means of reducing inflammation. Fresh chamomile is more effective than dry. It is necessary to make a small bag, soak them in hot or cold water and a few minutes keep to the painful spot in the mouth.
Garlic is the medicine of our ancestors, one who was used as an analgesic and anesthetic. Because of its properties, it is an excellent natural remedy for toothache. Finely chopped onion put into a tissue and wrap it. Hold few minutes on the painful spot. The pain will certainly be reduced after a few moments.
Bacteria cause inflammation that can alleviate just alcohol. The alcohol is used for rinsing in order to disinfect tooth and bacteria to be destroyed.
In warm water dissolve salt. Keep in your mouth for a minute, on the painful tooth. Repeat few times.
A small bundle of leaves dried mint put around the painful tooth and hold for about 20 minutes. Mint draws an inflammatory process in the area and has a calming effect.
Take two or three cloves and put them in mouth close to the area that hurts you and wait till they become soft. Once they are softened, slightly (as your toothache allow) chew them so their oil will come out.
Clove oil: This is perhaps the most effective way. You will need: clove oil, swab or cotton balls, half tablespoons of olive oil. Mix a few drops of clove oil with half a spoon of olive oil. Dip a cotton bud into and put it on the painful spot. Hold till the pain is reduced or gone.
