Golden Milk is one of the traditional medicine of ancient Indian medicine (around the world known as Ayurveda).
“Golden Milk” is a beautiful, tasty and incredibly healthy drink and the benefits from it are outstanding. There are indications that once the recipe for golden milk has been kept in secrecy.
The main ingredient in this recipe is turmeric (Read more about turmeric). Turmeric contains curcumin, polyphenol identified as a primary active ingredient, which reaches over 150 potential therapeutic activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.

Recipe and preparation:
First, prepare a paste of turmeric in this way:
– 40 grams of turmeric powder
– 100-150 ml of water
Pour turmeric powder in water, stir until starts to boil. Then, cook for about 7-8 minutes, until the contents have solidified. Constantly stir. If needed, add a little bit more water. Mixture should resemble as a yogurt.
During this time, prepare the milk.
– 250 ml of milk
– 2 tablespoons (40 ml) oil (unrefined) or almond oil (if you wish)
– Honey (for better taste)
Boil milk and add the oil. Remove from heat and pour into a cup. Add 1 teaspoon of already prepared paste of turmeric. Sweeten with honey if you wish. Rest from turmeric paste,which will be used in next days need to be kept in refrigerator.
Tip:Paste of turmeric can be prepared in large quantities and kept for a longer period. In the frozen state it keeps its properties for 35-40 days.
This drink is recommended to consume it on an empty stomach, preferably once in the morning and once before bedtime.
“The golden milk” need to be consumed around 40 days, but only twice a year.
