Green diet which we will present today is designed for those people who don’t eat meat or for people who like to reduce meat intake and want to get rid of excess weight without starvation.
This diet, this green diet consists mainly of fruits, vegetables and whole grains and will provide you enough vitamins, minerals, fiber and other nutrients which are important for your body and nutrients that will clean the body of toxins without feeling hunger.
After waking up: Glass of freshly squeezed juice.
Breakfast: Fresh fruit
Snack: (Pick one) Fresh salad OR one toast with whole wheat bread with a glass of milk OR just vegetable soup.
Lunch:(Pick one) Freshly cooked vegetables and potatoes OR cooked rice with one piece of cheese and one slice of whole wheat bread.
Snack: Fresh fruit.
Dinner: Mixed vegetable salad.
Although we eat almost same food everyday, that small diversity in the food is important, so if you consume potatoes for lunch, following day eat rice for lunch etc. When it comes to morning juices and mixed salads, those things also are good to be changed, so if you drink one morning lemon and orange juice next day prepare juice from some other fruit, like kiwi, banana, apple etc. or if you eat cooked broccoli and cauliflower with olive oil and seasonings one night for dinner, following day prepare mix vegetables for example, like carrots, green beans, corn etc. Try to prepare different food from this small amount of choices as more as possible. There are many fruits and vegetables so keep in mind, diversity!
Also, physical activity during the diet is recommended and welcomed. You don’t need to run with miles, just one morning or night walk, combined with few joggins per week is enough to keep you active.
Important to know:
- Potatoes are always eaten with salad without bread.
- Don’t combine the fruits with anything else, with whipped cream for example so to eat them as dessert. Eat them fresh.
- There is no portion control on fruits and vegetables, you can eat them as much as you want.
