You will need:
- Big plastic water bottle (ones from 5l.)
- Onion sets (Small onion bulbs)
Procedure is very simply and you don’t need lot of time, is very easy. First of all, cut the neck of the plastic bottle using scissors or sharp knife. Then, cut holes all over the plastic bottle. Holes need to be big as a size on a grown onion. Put soil in the bottle until it reaches the first line of holes. Place the onion bulbs in a direction to holes, with the tip faces toward holes. Place one bulb for one hole. When is done, cover them with soil until you reach the second line with holes. Repeat the same procedure. Continue until you reach last line with holes and bottle is full with soil. When is all done, place the bottle next to your kitchen window or other place where you like to keep, just make sure it has daily sunlight and make sure that you pour bit of water everyday, but don’t overwater them. After a week, you supposed to have the first spring onions. You can cut them and next week they will grow again. This way you will have endless fresh spring onion supply at your own kitchen.
