Myofascial pain syndrome is a chronic pain disorder. In myofascial pain syndrome in unrelated parts of your body chronic pain occurs after a muscle has been contracted repetitively.
If you suffer from this disorder, a tennis ball which is mentioned in the headline, may help you to get rid of this pain fast, easy and simple. Use tennis ball in the following ways and relieve the pain in different body parts.
Suboccipital muscles and a set of muscles that straighten and rotate the back called spinal erectors can tighten very easily and may become tired and painful and the cause for that may be hard gym training, long time spend sitting in your office or hard work outside.
The following exercise with usage of tennis ball may help to soothe the neck pain. First, lie on the floor, with your face upward and place 2 tennis balls under your skull. When you are ready, move your head slightly left and right allowing the tennis balls to settle in the back neck part nice and comfortable. Keep this position for a minute or two and then change direction, center your head on one side and repeat the same procedure and then do the same for the other side too.
Stiff & Uncomfortable Shoulders
The following exercises will relax the cuff muscles and alleviate the pain in the shoulders which usually occurs as a result of bad body posture and of course, improper lifting heavy objects. This exercise is very simple. Just lie on the floor on your back and place two tennis balls behind your shoulders and use your shoulders to roll them.
Tight and compressed chest, which are result of daily activities such as cooking, holding your phone, simple prolonged sitting and long time spend in front of computer or tv etc., may result in very uncomfortable problems such as nervous system issues and of course breathing problems.
To get rid of stiff shoulders and to alleviate the pain all you need is one tennis ball. Stand in front of a wall or door and place the ball under your collarbone. Remain in this position for few minutes and take deep breaths. Slowly and gently move your arm, one by one, and neck for additional few minutes in order to stimulate muscles mobility.
Improper or poor body posture may result in fatigue, pain, headaches, difficulty in breathing and even depression. To solve this problem with help of tennis balls, first lie down and place two balls on both sides of your back, put your hands on your head and like you are doing sit up, lift your head off the floor and bring your chin toward your chest. Hold this position for few seconds and take a deep breath. Repeat this for 4-5 minutes.
There is an excellent exercise with tennis ball for cramped knees. This exercise will relax the muscles which are found in the thigh and lower leg. Just sit comfortably in a chair, bend your knee and place the ball behind your bent knee. Contract your muscle against the ball, exhale and repeat. Do on both sides 10 to 15 repetitions.
Very common problem nowadays,especially in women, which is a result of bad and unsupportive shoes and usually it hurts more in the morning when we get up. To solve this problem with help of tennis ball, just stand of the ball and roll the ball up and down. That’s it. Do this for few minutes and then repeat on other feet.
