There is 1 in 10 Americans with diabetes, according to CDC statistic. More than 15 000 adults and kids are diagnosed every year. In last decade, approximately 15 % of people with diabetes, type 1 are children.
With time, high blood glucose levels can damage nerves and blood vessels and in that way to lead to complications such as heart disease and stroke, which are the leading causes of death among people with diabetes. Uncontrolled diabetes can also lead to other health problems as well, such as vision loss, amputations and kidney failure.
Diabetes is a metabolic disease in which the body’s inability to produce any or enough insulin causes elevated levels of glucose in the blood.*
There are two main types of diabetes-type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes, which represent more that 90%, is more common from type 1 diabetes.
New Way to Fight Diabetes-New Dietary Approach
