Exercise 1: Plank
The plank is definitely one of the best exercises for your core. This exercise builds isometric strength, sculpt your waistline, improves balance and improves your posture. Depends of the way this exercise is performed, back, shoulders, arms, glutes and hamstrings are also engaged in this exercise.
Take a position as for push-ups, bend your elbows and rest your weight onto your forearms and hold this position for minimum 10 seconds to as much as you can. Keep in mind that your body should form a straight line from shoulders to ankles.
Exercise 2: Side Crunches
In addition to regular crunches, side crunches are excellent exercise for abs. They focus on the internal and external oblique muscles.
Lie on your back, bend your legs at the knees and turn to one side so that the lateral muscles are stretched. Place your hands behind your head as for regular crunches and lift your torso.
Exercise 3: Cross Body Mountain Climber
Take a pushup position, forming a straight line with your body from head to heels. Brace your abs and pick up one foot and slowly bring your knee toward your opposite shoulder. Return to the starting position and repeat with opposite leg. Continue back and forth.
