Best Healthy Page June 11, 2016

Tanned skin is attractive, but think about how much skin suffer after excessive sun exposure. Sun protection products can help you, but some experts warn that sometimes that is not enough if they are not used properly.

Guide For Safe And Healthy Sunbathing

Sun dries the skin, that way leading to its rupture and damage to the skin’s barrier. It is essential to hydrate your skin, with appropriate creams and lotions and consume adequate amounts of water.

Gradual exposure to the sun is very important. UVB radiation is primarily credited for burning skin, so gradual exposure will not burn and will form a tanned color, that way will protect your skin from deeply penetrating UVA radiation.

Between 11 AM and 4 PM  sun rays are most powerful and you should remain at home or in a shade if you are outside. This is not time for long sunbathing. Keep in mind that sunscreen should be applied 30 minutes before sun exposure.

After tanning is important to hydrate the skin, especially skin on your face. You can do that naturaly also, by mixing half a cucumber with 1 Tbsp of yogurt in a blender and leave on your face 15 minutes.

Best protection in the morning and afternoon is sunscreen with the appropriate protection factor

Choose a sunscreen which is best for you

Sun protection factor is designed for skin depending on skin type. If you have very fair skin, select SPF 50. If you have fair skin, but you get a gradual tan, choose a sunscreen from 30 to 50. If you have a darker skin and you get suntan easy, choose sunscreen of 20 or 30. For people with dark skin and those who never get a sunburn, SPF 10 is ideal.

Apply sunscreen regularly

Apply sunscreen before going to the beach, at least 30 minutes.  At least once on every 2 hours is necessary to reapply sunscreen and after swimming. There are also waterproof sunscreen, but you need to restore a layer for optimal protection.

Diet

Certain foods are rich in substances that protect and nourish our skin. During the summer months, drink plenty of fluids, eat fish, use olive oil for cooking and consume plenty fruits and vegetables, especially tomatoes.

We hope you find this tips useful, enjoy in your day on the beach.
