Due today’s fast lifestyle many people often experience stress. Everyday life will not save anyone and the question is: How to relieve stress in our everyday life?

Relieve Stress In Just 5 Minutes With This Japanese Technique

Although some small amount of stress in our everyday lives is completely normal so there is no need to worry about, excessive stress can make us problems, for example, it can interfere with our daily activities which we normally have plus it can affect on our health.

They are many relaxation techniques that can relieve stress fast, techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, rhythmic exercise, yoga etc., but in this article, we will talk about one Japanese technique, an ancient technique of self-relaxation that will relieve you from stress fast and easy.

To be able to conduct this relaxation method right, it’s very important to understand first how this technique works. Many people know that the hands are active points which correspond to the work of internal organs. On other side, fingers of our hand represents a different feeling. Each of them is associated with certain attitude.

Thumb – It helps you to combat emotions like concern, worry and anxiety.

Index Finger – It helps you to fight fear.

Middle Finger – It helps you to control feelings of rage and anger.

Ring Finger – It helps you fight melancholy, sadness and depression.

Pinky (small) Finger – Helps relieve stress, calm nervousness and increases optimism.

Now when you know this, the technique is simple. First sit comfortably, breathe deep and relax and rest your both hands in your lap. Then grasp certain finger with the opposite hand, wrapping all of your fingers including thumb around it. Press gently and gradually hold each finger for one minute. When you will feel a pulse, you will know it’s working.

To calm your mind, to nourish everything, with the thumb of the opposite hand just apply slight pressure in the center of your palm and hold it for few minutes.

During the exercise, during this relaxation technique stay calm and exhale slowly. Deep breathing while you are holding each finger can help to bring your body and mind to a state of peace and harmony. You can count each set of exhalations and inhalation up to 30-35 times per thumb. The entire process will take 10-15 minutes (for both hands).

Maybe you are skeptical, but this technique or little exercise, will help you for sure. Practice this technique every day to stay calm, to keep yourself focused and to reestablish the balance within yourself.
