Everyone knows how healthy lemon is, but, among long list of healthy benefits from lemon, this fruit is also cheap ecological cleaner. Lemon is a natural disinfectant, it removes stains and is perfect for polishing metal and much more.

Deodorizing
As Room Freshener – In a pot or pan with water add lemon peels, cinnamon sticks and place on medium heat for 30 minutes. Your entire house will smell amazing. Also you can add half cup of squeezed lemon juice into spray bottle and 1 tbsp apple vinegar and use it as a air freshener whenever you need. Shake well before each use.
Freshener For Your Clothes – Add 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice at machine washing machine. Your clothes will have a wonderful smell and you will not feel the traces of cigarette smoking etc.
Humidifier – Just add half cup of lemon juice to the water in your humidifier and let the machine run for deodorizing.
For Garbage Disposal – In ice cube trays, put some lemon slices add bit of apple vinegar and freeze them. Place a few frozen cubes down your disposal for cleaning and freshening.
Trash Cans – Few lemon peels added to your garbage can will help with bed odors.
Cleaning
For Windows and other Glass Surface – Mix four tablespoons of lemon juice and 2 liters of water and you have the perfect mixture for cleaning windows. The acid will easily remove dirt, stains and the windows will shine perfectly.
For Kitchen Panels – Cut one lemon in half and squeeze the juice on board. Using lemon as a tool for grating, spread the juice, softly scrubbing all around the surface. Leave until the stains are gone and then rinse with clean water and pat dry. Citric acid will quickly remove stains and your kitchen board will shine as new.
Cutting Boards – Same procedure as above. Sprinkle salt and apply lemon juice on the cutting board, scrub a little and wait for the strains to disappear. Rinse after with clean water. This will also remove odor from the timber, especially useful after preparing fish.
Kitchenware – To clean copper pots and pans from contamination of fatty foods, you can also use the power of lemon. On a copper surface, apply a little bit salt then cut lemon in half and rub the surface to which you have applied salt. You can also combine the lemon juice with vinegar for even better results. Rinse with water when you are done. Also you can clean the stains from your eating utensils and remove the bad odor from them. Just use half lemon and rub them, then rinse with water.
For Microwave – Put 1 lemon, cut in half into a microwave safe bowl filled with 4 cups of water and place into a microwave for 5 minutes, setting the microwave in cook mode. When is done, remove the bowl and just wipe the microwave with clean towel. If they are some hard strains, use the water from bowel for your towel and wipe them. You can reuse the lemons for something other when you are done, for example to clean your faucets.
Blender – If your blender has ugly stains and unpleasant odor from mixing everything you can clean them simple with water and lemon, just fill it with warm water up to half and add 1 chopped lemon and let it run for few minutes.
For Fridge – Mix half cup fresh lemon juice with warm water and gently scrub the surface into the fridge. When done, wipe it with dry towel.
For Bathroom – You can clean your faucets very easy with lemon peels. Just cut a lemon in half and use it as a cleaning sponge. Wipe after with clean dry towel and your faucets will be clean and shyne as never before. You can easily clean shower doors also. Just rub into the glass with lemon cut in half. After rinse with water and wipe with dry towel.
As Furniture Polish – Mix lemon juice with some olive or jojoba oil to make natural homemade furniture polish. Use it as regular one, buff with cloth.
For Cleaning Floors – Mix equal amounts of lemon juice, vinegar and water and you have your own, homemade, natural and non-toxic floor cleaner.
