Spiders? Is there anyone who is not afraid of them? Especially if you are a women, admit it. With right, spiders are one of the most hated bugs.
One of the best ways to avoid problems with spiders and to not see them in your house is to keep your house clean. This way you will reduce the chances to see not only spider in your house, but also other bugs or insects.
But still, this unwanted guests are nothing unordinary in our daily life. Nowadays, there are many bug repellents or some other poisonous stuff what you can find in the market near you. All this stuff usually works, at least most of them, but with them you open yourself another problem and another question. Are they dangerous for you too?
All this products contain synthetic chemicals which can harm you or your pet.
Before reaching for them, save your money for a while and try to get rid of this unwanted guests in natural way, with help of natural repellents, which are usually effective, cheaper and most important, they are natural. Worth a try.
Lets see some of them.
It known that spiders and other bugs don’t like lemons and other citrus fruit. What you can do is, cut a lemon in half and rub on areas where spiders usually appears, that will be in the corners or make a mixed solution with freshly squeezed lemon juice and water, in 1:1 ratio, pour into a spray bottle and just spray all the cracks and crevices around your home.
Same as lemon acid, vinegar helps in a same way against all these unwanted guests. Usage is same, just pour vinegar into corners or areas with bugs or make spray solution, with water in 1:1 ratio and spray the walls, especially corners and around doors and windows. Same as in previous solution, you can add essential oil by wish for better and fresh smell.
Last but not least in group of spray repellents is peppermint oil. This is one of the most hated smell for spiders. Same as the preparation on previous solutions, mix water and peppermint essential oil into a spray bottle and spray the critical areas. Make sure to not mix it with lot of water, the fragrance of peppermint need to be strong. Also, add little bit liquid soap for better efficiency. Shake before usage.
Put cedar wood blocks into your closets to repel spiders and other bugs and insects. You can also add few drops of some essential oil, like lavender for example and you will get fresh closet at same time.
Spiders and other bugs and insects don’t like the smell of chestnuts. To use this trick, all you need to do is to roast some chestnuts, just a little bit (for more powerful smell), smash them and place them into the corners, behind furniture and in the bottom corners on your windows.
